Watching “The Office” Finale…
May 15, 2008 by LMB
9:10pm - That was the most enjoyable ten minutes I’ve had all week. That cold open? Awesome. I’m so glad I didn’t watch it ahead of time. I’ve missed the Jim/Dwight pranks. Its like old school Office. And that Jam moment was amazing (thank goodness Pam will only be gone the summer I’m assuming) and I smell a new love interest for Michael! Is Amy Ryan going to be on the show for good?
9:18pm - AHHHHH Oh my God, call me a sap but when Jim was talking to Michael about how he fell in love Pam, I was totally crying. And then he’s paying for fireworks! I love that they are building this up through the episode. If this is leading to a let down or a cliffhanger I’m going to throw my TV out the window. I’m sorry Laura, make way for the Jam.
9:30pm - Okay first, the exit interview scene was the most uncomfortable thing ever. So funny. Now to business. This is what I see coming: Jim is going to take Ryan’s job in NYC and have to commute back to Pam. That OR the spinoff is with Jim and Pam. This isn’t boding well. I’m laughing so loud at this episode that I think I’m annoying my neighbors.
9:38pm - Yay Get Smart! That clip was funny. Anyhoo, this is quickly becoming my favorite episode of Season Four. I love seeing Michael so vulnerable and emotional and affectionate! I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop. Either she’s gay or Toby is going to end up staying. Either way, this episode is the best thing to happen to The Office since World War II. Awesome line.
9:45pm - :::cricket sound::: Oh. My. God. I yelled out “Oh my God she’s pregnant” a nano second before they showed it. Michael…a dad? That just breaks my heart, he was getting on so well with Amy Ryan!
Okay that’s it as Lost starts directly after this last segment. Reaction to whole episode tomorrow.
ETA: 9:57pm - Are you FUCKING kidding me? If the tag at the end of this episode is not Jim down on one knee proposing to Pam a little part of my love for this show will be dead. That is just not cool, and not in the fun cliffhanger way. That is just not cool.
ETA 2: Okay Lost has already made me cry. So The Office. While that tag was not what I was hoping for, that was pretty cool. I can’t believe Andy proposed. Dwight’s face was going to break my heart. For the first time since he came on the show, I really hated Andy tonight (in the good way of course). Okay, more tomorrow.
