How many times can I say that Pushing Daisies is the best show on television that people aren’t watching? This is just such an amazingly creative and unique show. Every week another mystery, another set of crazy witty lines, another romp in this fantastical world. I love this show more and more every week. This past week’s episode was so hilarious. I’m really loving the ongoing story with Ned’s father and it was so heartwarming to see Ned’s half brothers give him that big hug! I love whenever Ned gets to hug someone. And Lee Pace dressed as the Texan was just too much. Yay for Stephen Root! Although I’m not sure what to make of his spying on Lee and his brothers with a gun.
This show has the best details also. What was with Olive and Emerson’s little standoffs each time they ran into each other? Ned’s clue book? Chuck’s upside down pie and her explanation for it? While the main plot with the dim sum poker game got a little tedious, I do love that this show manages to get everyone involved every week, not doing centric episodes where we don’t see a character too much. Though more Olive would always be welcome. At least Ned is paying more attention to her feelings – or trying to.
Once again I plead: ABC, please do not cancel this show!!!! Just give it a chance and then move it out of it’s sucky time slot. Move it to Thursdays at 10 or maybe Tuesday. This show needs a lead in.
