He’s here!

Baby Campbell is officially here! George just called me and I guess the baby was born at about 6pm this evening. He’s healthy and Jackie seems to be doing okay. I don’t want to give details as it is not my place, but she is doing okay now.  George did tell me that she was in labor for about 12 hours and did it all NATURALLY! I cannot believe it. She is so strong.  George’s phone was dying so he couldn’t talk long. I do know that he “caught” the baby and cut the cord and handed him to his momma. I’m so completely overwhelmed with emotion right now, I can’t even say. The incredible miracle of this baby, the hope of something better for this world, the pure joy he has already brought to so many is just insane to think about. The only sadness I can think of right now for me is that I can’t be there to see him. But I’m so happy for Jackie and George. What an amazing event.

So congratulations to the new parents and as soon as I get pictures, you can be sure I will post them here, whether they want me to or not. 🙂

I said it in the title, so you’ve been warned.

I cannot believe this. The girl I had tapped to go all the way, to win ANTM Cycle whatever we’re on now, just got kicked off in like the 4th week! What the hell! I loved Janet. She seemed like the only normal woman on the show. And now she’s gone. I gotta assume it will only be a matter of time before Heather leaves. Grrr, very annoying.

Fun interview with Steve Carell about Dan in Real Life. Slightly spoilerish, so don’t read those parts if you don’t want to. The most interesting part to me was the following snippet:

Q: What’s it going to take to get Dunkin’ Doughnuts in Los Angeles?

STEVE CARELL: John (Krasinski) is a big – well, you know his idea, he wants to do a celebrity Dunkin’ Doughnuts and have Boston based celebrities kind of front the Dunkin’ Doughnuts, and have all of the proceeds go to charity, which I think is a great idea. So there’s people like Matt Damon and Ben Affleck and John, people that he thinks might sort of promote the Dunkin’ Doughnuts and then do like a Newman’s Own thing, and just put all the money into charity.

Q: He mentioned that the old Tower Records on Sunset would be a great location for the branch.

Even though they spell it wrong (the business spells it “donuts” not “doughnuts”), it is nice to know that both Steve Carell and John Krasinski are Dunks fans. I’m not sure I could live in a place without Dunkin Donuts. The charity idea is fantastic.

She’s going to kill me for posting this on here, but I just heard from Jackie and George and she is now, as of 9:30am, officially in labor. YAY!!!! I’ll keep you posted as I learn anything new. Here’s hoping for a very quick and easy labor and that both mom and baby pull through healthy and happy.

I saw Keith, my former bus guy that I used to see everyday, again this morning and this time he was actually talking and laughing with someone (a girl, of course). He looks like he has gained weight.

What is really “interesting” about this is that last Friday night, it was discovered that the real name of Cart Guy from the AMC theater on Tremont Street (c’mon, you know who I’m talking about) is….KEITH! I found this to be very amusing.

That’s all I got.
